The Modkat Litter Tray is ideal for cats who like that open-air feeling. At nine inches tall, it goes to great depths to keep litter in its place, and the clip-on splash guard offers extra protection making this the deepest litter tray on the market. The perfect solution for high pee-ers and litter kickers.

The Modkat Litter Tray's splash guard snaps securely into the base and overlaps the tarp liner. This creates a 15.75” (40cm) high barrier that keeps the spray and mess inside.

The walk-off platform slides easily onto the base, locking the liner in place. It also acts as a litter deflector, keeping the mess inside the box.

All Modkat litter boxes work with our perfect-fit reusable liners. They are constructed from durable tarpaulin, so they are smooth, scratch resistant, easy to clean, and they last up to 3 months. Just wash, rinse, and repeat!

FAQ

Click the five clips into the rectangular slits in the base.
Position Modkat Liner (Type-G) in the base with the open side facing front.
Open the splash guard and bend each corner back slightly to straighten.
Insert the splash guard into the five reinserted clips one by one.
Slide the walk-off platform over the liner and front edge of the Tray.

This is our second ModKat box, but the first open one. No surprise, my cats used it with zero hesitation. Excellent product, our go-to brand!

Great Product

This is my second Modkat purchase and it didn’t disappoint. What can I say, I’m a professional graphic designer and appreciate when products are designed well with form and function in mind : ) It was very easy to set up and I like the clean aesthetic. My cats LOVE the free toy…I hear that ball rolling around in the box as a background soundtrack half the time!

Best litter box yet!

We have tried MANY different open-top litter boxes for our two cats, and this is the best one we’ve used. It keeps the litter scatter to a minimum (one of our cats is a big kicker), and the liner makes it easy to scoop and keep clean. We are delighted with this box and highly recommend it!

Containment Box

I have two cats that really know how to kick out the litter. I needed the higher walls to keep the litter from being spread around the room, and this box is doing the job. I also like the liner feature. The urine soaked clumps are so much easier to remove from the corners and edges! Excellent idea.

Good value

Good litter box! Putting it together, I could tell a lot of thought went into the design and the materials used seem to be of decent quality. Worthwhile purchase that effectively keeps all urine inside the litter box (which was why I mainly got it). Economical price too considering other options are easily twice as much. I'll likely upgrade to another Modkat in the near future when I have a bit more money to spend on a bigger box. My only issue is the side extension piece--when attaching it and bending it around the edges of the box, it started to tear at the seam/corner. I easily fixed it by reinforcing it with shipping tape; just something to be careful with.
